I’ve been home for about 14 hours and thought I would do some sort of summary of the last two amazing weeks. I also have a few photos that didn’t really fit in the daily posts which I could dump here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trip was divided into four parts. First I stayed in Miami for four days, landing on Monday<\/a>, watched baseball<\/a> on Tuesday, went to Key West<\/a> on Wednesday, and jumped into The Atlantic<\/a> on Thursday. Friday meant a trip to the Everglades<\/a>. On Saturday I rented a car, drove off to Tampa<\/a>, and started the second part by watching some more baseball. The day after I took a swim in the Mexican Gulf, but most important I saw Packers beat the Buccaneers<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second week started of course with a Monday and I moved on to the third part of the trip, Orlando, and two of the parks in Disney World<\/a>, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. The second day in Orlando was spent in Hollywood Studios<\/a>. During this day, the hurricane Ian affected me for the first time because both Disney World and Kennedy Space center shut down. Because of this, I drove down to Miami a day early<\/a> for the fourth part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these remaining days, I had little planned. So I used the car<\/a> to explore some shopping, swam some in the pool<\/a>, played in the waves<\/a>, watched some sports<\/a>, and finally went home<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been warm and humid. I haven’t been drinking this much water since World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia. The food intake has been rather irregular and probably not of the best type either. I would say that the hotels have been up to the expectations, just a couple of restaurants\/food stands didn’t deliver. The stadiums here are on a whole other level than in Sweden. Sure, they can take 50-70 thousand but when it comes to food and drinks these are running circles around for example Friends Arena. Awesome to once again see the Packers live. I’ve had some interesting chats and met some nice people, even a couple of swedes. The trip to Key west was great in spite of the long bus ride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The queuing areas in Disney World were usually pretty nicely decorated. I guess it made the wait a bit more bearable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disney had bus transportation between their parks and their different resorts. Quite a large setup and it worked rather well to the extent I used them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though this was a bit funny since the company I work for is partly owned by Max Matthiessen AB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
