<\/p>\n\n\n\nI had the morning off, but everyone was supposed to be at work at noon for a team meeting and then prepare for the reception. Got up at 8 and did the usual morning routine. Called mom on the way to the bus to check in with Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spent the day posting blog posts, and then at 14, we walked over to the World Point where we were having the reception in a large meeting tent. It was really warm and humid, so the walk took its toll, even if it was only for like 25 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Setting up registration, putting out water and snacks, preparing neckers for the Ambassadors, and then running the whole show, it was plenty of work for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reception itself, I thought, was really good. The right amount of speeches from our team leads, the head of Connected Experience (the area we belong to), a couple of guests from WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement), and even from four Ambassadors. Those four made a great impression and were well-spoken. Really inspiring to listen to. Everyone got to thank everyone, and I felt proud of what we, together with the Ambassadors, have created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the reception was over, we headed back to Echo. Katri, Brenden, and I walked together. Almost the whole team met up for dinner at 18:30. Not many chances left to be together as a group. After dinner, I went to the Chat N’ Chew to try and swap some stuff, but was quite unsuccessful. Headed into the Pride Caf\u00e9, where I ended up trading my long-sleeved uniform shirt with Berto and his sombrero hat. That’s going to look funny on the flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rest of the evening, Katri, Lisa, Berto, Selina, a while Joe, and I spent playing cards. I won at Gurka again, felt good for my self-confidence <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not too late to bed, going to be a long day tomorrow with the closing show and teardown. The goal is that no one will have to work on Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
