During the night I found the one bad thing with this apartment. Its single glass windows, which don’t really keep the noise from the street outside. I managed to sleep pretty well anyway through the night but at 7:30 in the morning, I couldn’t go back to sleep anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got up and took a shower. The water pressure and temperature were above my expectations, however, the shower handle wouldn’t stay in place on the bar but kept gliding downwards, slowly. After I was done I started to look for some tape or string but all I could find was a plastic bag, which I used to tie the handle in place. Problem-solving!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u00e5kan and Martin got up the following hour and we left the apartment at about 9:45 to find some breakfast on our way to the escape room. Just 40 meters from the apartment there is a small bakery which unfortunately didn’t have anything gluten-free for H\u00e5kan but I bought myself a tomato and ham sandwich and off we went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took the overground just one stop to Highbury & Islington and when we got off it started raining. Martin just popped up his umbrella, while H\u00e5kan and I put on our jackets. Luckily it was a short walk to the Breakin’ Escape Rooms London<\/a> and we were there about half an hour early. That’s me in a nutshell :p <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, after a short greeting, we were able to start playing almost immediately. A really exciting room with only one physical key, to power up an instrument panel. Everything in the room fitted the theme and the puzzles were quite good. We managed to solve everything without any hints, even though it was close at one time. We were out with about 18 minutes to spare. After a debrief we left the nice establishment and went back to the subway to go to the science museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, we get to travel on the Victorian line quite often which isn’t that nice, because is really hot. I think it’s because it just runs in tunnels with limited ventilation and the trains generate quite a lot of heat which then has nowhere to go. The train is also small (I guess the line is one of the older ones) so it is not that comfortable to ride on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though it’s free admission to the Science Museum<\/a> you had to book tickets to get a slot when you are allowed to enter. We got our slot 11:45-12:15 and arrived just at noon and walked in. Four floors filled with space things, steam things, medicine things, flying things, wired things, and lots more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent around three hours before leaving the complex that wasn’t too crowded for being a Saturday. One goal was to find one specific display where the company that H\u00e5kans wife works at had won a prize<\/a> so they had a picture of all the employees. We found it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
