I woke up before 7 with almost 30 degrees in my tent. Tidyd up a bit, put away my laundry, and tried to sweep the sand out of the tent. There is literally sand everywhere. The problem is that it increases friction and creates blisters when it gets into your shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I left for breakfast in the dining hall and to collect my Jamboree t-shirt. According to Discord, the sizes have the opposite problem as the scout uniforms we got. Everyone seems to want to trade for a bigger one. The uniforms were too big instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got back to the subcamp just in time to say goodbye to the Britts. They were leaving for their bus. I feel for them, not being able to finish what they started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My shift started at 14 and the whole time until then, I just tried to exist. It seemed to be hotter today and even just sitting in front of a fan, it’s hot. I gave up and went to one of the “AC-buses” which are parked behind our Subcamp, just offering seats in an AC-controlled environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was resting on the bus, I heard a roar and looked outside. It was the Korean Air Force that did an airshow with eight fighter jets. Pretty cool even though we had seen them practice during the day before the scouts arrived. I stepped out to try and take a couple of pictures or videos, but I couldn’t see my screen because of the sunlight so I aimed and hoped I got something \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the first part of my shift, I was responsible for handing out ice cream to the units. A really soft job and you get a lot of appreciation \ud83d\ude42 Later on, we created more shelf space to be able to store stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I was also responsible for the allergy section during food delivery. Helping the units to find replacements when their scouts can’t eat the food. It’s a terrible job, telling people that they can’t eat some of the food and then trying to find at least something. It has improved since the first days, but still a hassle and not fun at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For dinner, we found some pre-cooked chicken that we chopped up and together with some salad and ate with tortilla bread. We had plenty of food so everyone should have left with a full stomach. I followed the game between Sweden and USA in the World Cup which ended with a yellow and blue victory after penalties. Next up, quarter-finals! The last task for tonight was to move about 25 cooling boxes to the food delivery tent and fill them with the frozen water we had received earlier, so I and Valen did that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ended the evening by watching the game between Elsfborg and Sirius and writing this. Then a shower and off to bed. It’s a warning of rain tonight so we lifted up everything and secured the tents and such. Hopefully, we get some<\/em> rain which might lower the temperature a bit, but we don’t want any flooding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
