I slept so long that I missed the (non-complimentary) breakfast. Felt really good and was well needed. I realized that my hotel is just around the corner for the end station for the Cable Car Californa Line. So I went down and took it from end to end, which took me to the east coast of the San Francisco peninsula.

I walked along the water, as I did in 2019 when I was here. It turns out, our hotel that time is just a kilometer east of where I’m staying now. It was quite chilly outside. Should have taken jeans instead of shorts, and maybe bring my jacket. But, when I found protection from the wind and sunshine, it was real nice.

I needed something to eat so I ended up at Boudin Bakery and ordered myself a chicken with pesto sanwhich.

Last night I had found that they have a submarine at pier 45, so when I reached it, I bought a ticket and went inside. Their audio guide was reached by a QR-code that downloaded a audio file on your phone. Worked pretty neatly actually, especially since I was alone. Felt unreal that they would be 85 crewmen on this ship. And at one point they rescued another 70 people from a shipwreck.
I kept walking and then Peter called. I complained a bit about the chilly weather, but it was probably still alot better (or nicer at least) than what they have in Sweden currently. I said I was thinking of taking a dip in the pacific ocean, but the weather was fairly discouraging. However, there were two guys doing just that, and another 2-3 people swimming! Maaaaaybe, I’ll revisit this on Saturday.

I jumped on a bus and headed to Paniq Room, same franchise as I did in Las Vegas yesterday. I asked if I could do a room as a single player, and even though I didn’t get a proper answer if it was possible, she said that she needed to take payment for two people, and $100 is a bit expensive for one room. She recommended another site though.

So I bought a donut and went back to the hotel to do some research. Apparently, at this place there are 8 spots in a room and you can book into if there are spots available. I went to one of their locations and asked more about this. The rooms should be doable by a single player (but there might be many puzzles). There were no rooms availbale today though, so my plan is to check on Saturday morning to see if there are any unbooked rooms and go for that.
I went back to the hotel again and just chilled, thinking of dinner. I ended up going to the hotel restaurant and having a burger. When I ordered, and paid at the counter, he asked if I wanted to tip my server. It feels even more strange tipping “over-the-counter-service”. Burger came quick and it was good. I ate pretty fast and went back to the room and got to bed relativley early. Picking up a car tomorrow at 8. Found the price for the breakfast, $35 plus tax. Doesn’t matter how good that buffet might be, I won’t be paying that.
