Today was the Cultural Celebrations Day, and all the villages prepared something from their home country. It could be something edible, a performance, or games that others could come by and try.

When I got up, the closest showerhouses were closed. Luckily, they are not too far apart, so I found another pretty quickly.

After breakfast, I headed out through the Delta and Charlie Basecamps, visiting different villages. Fun to see the variety of food and games that exist throughout the world.

Went by Basecamp C and met Sven again, nice guy!

Got to work at around 13 and we opened the computer lab at 15 with ambassadors soon dropping by to write today’s blog post. We have quite a few posts in our backlog, so we are a bit behind, but we are working on it.

Close up at 17, and most of our team met up for dinner in Echo. A few of us then headed off to tonight’s show together. Got some seats a bit up in the back. More space 🙂

The first half was all about unity (theme of the day), religion, and beliefs. It’s hard to educate and inform people in such a big forum, but it was alright. When we had “reached unity” and managed to open a box, “Broadway Sings Disney” jumped on stage and made a great and appreciated show. Ended with Let it go with almost everyone singing along while all Novus badges were blinking. Quite the finish!

Crowded on the way back, walked with three girls from the Netherlands, one being my colleague Amy. They sang different children- and camp songs, mainly in Dutch, really fast and loud. It made the time go faster, so I shouldn’t complain, even though I couldn’t understand a word of it 😛

Quick shower and then time to sleep after another lovely (and warm) day here in Summit Bechtel Reserve.
