Left the lounge and strolled through the terminal, ending up at my gate when I was supposed to board. Apparently, there was a medical incident with a passenger, not clear if it was on our plane or on the plane that stood at the gate before, so the boarding got delayed by about an hour. We finally left the gate 1:10 late. Lots of questions from passengers with short transfers in Warsaw, including me, even though I knew there was little I could do about it. I checked that there was another direct flight the next morning, if I missed this one.
About the same size as the seat on this flight compared to Air Canada, though no overhead storage over the rows in the middle and almost no storage at the seat itself. With AC, I had about a 2-liter storage unit where I could keep stuff. Ok the other hand, no one was sitting in the seat beside me, so I could dump a bunch of things there.
Watched a movie during dinner and then tried to get some sleep. The seat didn’t go totally flat, at least mine didn’t, but it was pretty comfortable anyway. Managed to get around five hours with some sort of napping
Landed around 19:10 and after passport check, security check (didn’t see this one coming so I had to go back to empty my water bottle that I wanted to keep) and then a couple of quick walks I made it to the gate of my final flight just when the boarding was supposed to start. It was delayed a few minutes, so I managed to run to the bathroom before getting on the bus, to the plane.
Similar plane as from Toronto to Charlotte, but if you go with LOT, the seat next to you is free if you are flying business, neat! I even got some dinner! Uneventful flight, just kept watching Homeland on the phone. Landed a few minutes before 22.
I was a bit nervous that my luggage didn’t make the relatively short transfer, but soon enough it showed up on the belt. Got into a cab and got home just before 23. Happy reunion with my cats, using my own shower, my own bed, my own computer. It felt good to be home. Unpacked everything on the living room table so the bags a empty, but I’ll handle all the stuff tomorrow, now sleep!
